8. Applications Example

  Example 1: Traffic Test Signs

Detects approaching and departing vehicles to alert drivers to speed. The detection range of the car is more than 100 meters, and the detection range of the large vehicle is more than 150 meters.

Example 2: Snapshot of speeding at intersection

Detect approaching vehicles, and cooperate with high-definition cameras to capture speeding vehicles. The detection range of the car is more than 100 meters, and the detection range of the large vehicle is more than 150 meters.

9. Communication Protocol

RS232 speed data output format (baud rate 9600bps 9 bytes per frame packet)

1: Incoming target

V (asci) + ( ascii) Hundreds place (ascii) Tens place (ascii) Ones place (ascii) Decimal point (ascii) Decimal place (ascii) 0X0D 0D0A

2: Going target

V (ascii) - (ascii) hundreds (ascii) tens (ascii) units (ascii) decimal point (ascii) decimal place (ascii) 0X0D 0D0A

RS485 speed data output format (baud rate 9600bps 4 bytes per frame packet)

Incoming target speed data: 0XFC 0XFA sum 0x00

Going to target speed data; 0XFB 0XFD sum 0x00

Note 1: sum is the speed value data range 0X01-0XF0 (corresponding to the speed range 1km/h-240km/h)

Radar parameter setting command (can only be set through RS232, baud rate 9600bps)

Command A: 0x43 0x46 0x01 aa bb cc 0x0d 0x0a

Note 1: aa is the lower limit value of the speed range (the factory default is 0X01)

If a is set to 0x05, the speed less than 5km/h will not be detected and output

Note 2: bb is the angle compensation of the angle between the center of the radar beam axis and the moving target (vehicle) (the factory default is 0X00)

If bb is set to 0x0a, the angle compensation angle is 10 degrees

Note 3: cc is the radar sensitivity setting, the setting range is 0x0a--0x70 (the factory default is 0X0C, 12db)

The smaller the cc value, the higher the sensitivity, the longer the detection distance (poor anti-interference)

The larger the cc value, the lower the sensitivity, that is, the closer the detection distance (strong anti-interference)

If there is a strong radio transmitting antenna near the radar sensor or the radar sensor power supply ripple coefficient is relatively large, it is necessary to appropriately increase the cc value to improve the anti-interference performance, please make a choice according to the application conditions.

Command B: 0x43 0x46 0x02 Mod Time M/I 0x0d 0x0a

Mod is 0X00 to detect the output of the target.

Mod is 0X01 only for target detection output

Mod is 0X02 and only goes to target detection output

The larger the Time value is, the lower the speed measurement output times of the radar sensor per second (the factory default Time is 0x00, corresponding to about 22FPS response)

M/I is 0X00 Speed unit is km/h

M/I is 0X01 Speed in mph

Command C: 0x43 0x46 0x03 XU 0x00 0x00 0x0d 0x0a

The anti-interference coefficient range of XU vibration interference is 0x00-0x70 (the factory default is 0x00)

Note: Vibration interference generally refers to the small swing "come and go" target (such as the sound of the speaker or the vibration of the radar sensor itself, or the interference of the electric fan, etc.); the larger the value range of XU, the larger the anti-vibration swing, However, it is easy to miss the target of short-stroke movement. Please adjust and choose according to the application scene.
